Introduction

I know that low prim furniture has a bit of a reputation for being unattractive. In fact, shopping for low prim items way back when and then being totally disappointed by what was out there, was the main motivator for me to learn how to build.
Either something was affordable, but ugly, or it was relatively attractive and way out of my price range. With skills, there shouldn't be much difference in the effort to create something fugly or something that has visual impact and appeal.
And so began my journey into creating items in SecondLife.

Once I managed to throw a few prims together with a modicum of style.. I realised that most furniture has the same animations.. or a combination thereof. Yure and I spent ages going around trying to find animations that would fit our furniture, or trying to mod the furniture to fit the animations.
Not only was it frustrating, but it was costly.

Finally one day someone quoted us 4000L$ for a simple massage animation. We TP'd home quite shocked, and Yure said, 'I want to try making animations.' Not only did she turn out a pretty decent animator, but she has the gift of observation that allowed her to add unique touches to her animations.

Finally Apocalips Japan Furniture took off.. and we haven't looked back since.
